       Hello and welcome to third grade.  This year will be an exciting and fun year for you.  You will be learning many new things. You will also learn to become responsible and independent learners.  We study many things from multiplication to life cycle. This year I will be implementing the Common Core to help you become a deeper thinker. You will be taking the New York State tests for ELA and Math in April.  I would like you to come to school prepared and ready to learn each day.  Your responsibility as a student is to complete your homework assignments, study and be prepared for classroom instruction.  Let's have a GREAT YEAR!
