    Vision: The responsibility of the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District is to educate all students in a collaborative, creative, and competitive environment. We expect our students to excel in all endeavors while we simultaneously nurture their social and emotional development. We will empower our graduates with the tools, skills, and knowledge for future success.

    Student Achievement

    Goal 1:  Provide for all students by ensuring equitable access to rigorous UPK – 12 curriculum, instructional materials and resources aligned to college and career readiness including allocation of funding for extraordinary programs or ideas, according to criteria set in conjunction with the school faculty and school community. 

    District Oversight

    Goal 2:  The Board of Education will expand upon board knowledge through participation in at least one board training session in 2023-2024.

    Goal 3:  The Board of Education will continue to support the development of a strong governance team in collaboration with the superintendent and district including the updating of policies as needed. 

    Goal 4:  The Board of Education will continue to support, promote and cultivate a culture of pride through community engagement efforts with a focus on increasing active participation by members of the school community.

    Goal 5:  The Board of Education will develop a comprehensive strategic and facilities use plan addressing the educational needs of students today through 2030.

    Goal 6:  The Board of Education will ensure the safety and wellness of the district through resource allocation in support of programs with a focus on high expectations for respect, good citizenship, student voice, equity and opportunity.

    Goal 7:  The Board of Education will maintain fiscal responsibility by monitoring and responding to current and projected fiscal climate and use resources in ways that support district goals.

    Goal 8:  The Board of Education will allocate necessary resources for the continued development of programs and resources in support of the social and emotional needs of students and staff. 

    Goal 9:  The Board of Education will develop a plan for the recruitment, development and retention of highly qualified staff.
