In Physical Education we are concerned about the safety of our students.  In order to keep our children safe, the following footwear and clothing are recommended for class:

• Sneakers with laces or velcro
• Sneakers with soles less than 2 inches high
• Shorts or sweat pants 

Certain types of footwear and clothing can be dangerous and lead to serious foot, ankle or leg injuries during physical activity. The following hazardous footwear and clothing will not be permitted in class:  

• Shoes and boots
• Platform sneakers (soles more than 2 inches)
• Sneakers with a shoe-type heel
• Sandal sneakers
• Open heel sneakers
• All terrain shoes (hiking boots)
• Pants which drag under the sole of a sneaker and are stepped on while walking

Students who wear hazardous footwear or clothing will not be allowed to participate.  Please help us keep your children safe by sending them to school with proper footwear and clothing.
