Yesterday, we were informed that an individual attending an out-of-district placement tested positive for COVID -19.  The Cattaraugus County Department of Health was notified and was in communication with individuals needing to quarantine.
Last evening, the district was informed of an elementary individual testing positive for COVID - 19. The Cattaraugus County Department of Health will initiate contact tracing.
We will continue with in-person instruction and remote learning at this time and continue to assess on a day-to-day basis.  We encourage our entire school community to abide by established Cattaraugus County DOH and CDC guidelines including social distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing.

The 20 - 21 calendar has been amended.  High School parent teacher conferences originally scheduled for January 29th have been rescheduled to March 19th.

Should our community be designated a yellow zone, schools must test 20% of in-person students, faculty and staff for COVID -19.   Schools may remain open for in-person instruction if they adhere to required testing regulations. Personnel from the Cattaraugus County Department of Health will administer the test in collaboration with our school staff. The following is a summary of updates:

    • Cattaraugus County DOH will conduct testing using BinaxNOW COVID -19 Antigen test (see video posted below under Headlines).  This is the nasal swab rapid response test providing results in 15 minutes.
    • Consent form is posted HERE
    • Only students that have a consent form will be tested (randomized testing)
    • Parents are permitted to be with their child during the testing
    • Parents will be notified if their child tests positive
    • Schools can accept written tests from healthcare providers

Please complete the consent form posted on this site and on the CLV Facebook page.

Please contact me at (716) 257-5292 to address specific questions or concerns.  This is an opportunity to keep our schools healthy, safe and open to in – person instruction.

Detailed information on testing protocol and the consent form are posted at:

The New York State Education Department developed a Parent Dashboard to increase transparency and make school-level data easier for parents and the public to access.  Find information about your child's school and provide feedback at:

Student COVID - 19 Daily Screening Form to be completed by Parent/Guardian Before Sending your Child(ren)to School

As part of our reopening plan we are asking parents to complete an on-line COVID – 19 electronic screening form before sending your child(ren) to school.  The on-line form (located to the left of this page under Return to School) is secure and confidential. A COVID - 19 hotline is now available to parents/guardians at 257-5625.  Please call this number if you have questions specific to COVID- 19 and the district will be in communication with you. Thank you.

**Meals for virtual learners will be available on Tuesday, December 22nd and will include meals for Wednesday, December 23rd.**

Please compete the registration form as soon as possible in order for the district to provide Free breakfast and lunch to our child(ren).
