Associates of Applied Science- Beef and Livestock Bachelor of Technology- Animal Science Master of Science- Career and Technical Education, Agriculture

Mrs. Mitrowski

I grew up on a small beef farm in central New York and was involved with 4H throughout my childhood.  FFA was an opportunity that I was never provided with, as the high school I attended did not offer agriculture classes. Agriculture classes provide kids with a great opportunity to explore other areas and careers that they may not be aware of before they get to college or go into the workforce.

I specialize in beef production, but have several different species of farm animals, and own a small farm of hair sheep, Boer meat goats, meat and laying chickens, meat turkeys, and registered Hereford cattle.

My undergraduate (Associate's and Bachelor's) degrees were obtained from SUNY Cobleskill, and received my Master's degree in Career and Technical Education (concentration in Agriculture) from Virginia Tech.  I previously taught seven years at Pioneer, teaching a wide variety of classes ranging from Welding and Landscaping to Food Science and Vet Science.

There is a great opportunity at CLV to grow this ag program and create thriving FFA members that will help to feed the growing population.  I am looking forward to educating these students about agriculture and the leadership opportunities that FFA can provide.  I am always looking for new field trips and opportunities for kids to broaden their view of the world.
