NEW UPDATES: NYSDOH & NYSED COVID-19 school opening guidance 2022-23.- Elimination of the test-to-stay policy recommendation.
- Changed recommendations to conduct screening testing to focus on high-risk activities during high COVID-19 Community Levels or in response to an outbreak.
- Removal of the recommendation to pod/cohort.
- Removal of the recommendation to quarantine, except in high-risk congregate settings.
- Addition of detailed information on when to wear a mask, how to manage cases and exposures, and how to respond to outbreaks

FREE COVID-19 Test Kits sent home in backpacks
At-Home Test Kits: CLV will provide all CLV families, students, faculty and staff with access to free At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits upon request. For under age students, we ask that parents/guardians fill out our online release to request test kits be sent home in their child’s bookbag. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/CLVkits

Every Monday from 8:30-11:30am In-house COVID-19 Testing for CLV though Cattaraugus County Health Department
Our school has partnered with Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services, and the Cattaraugus County Health Department to develop a COVID-19 testing program within our school to bring us into compliance with the NYS requirement for weekly COVID-19 testing of teachers and staff. The testing program utilizes Operation Expanded Testing, a program supported and funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide COVID-19 PCR testing to K-12 schools. This testing program has partnered with Centric by Ginkgo as the platform used to record tests and receive results.
REGISTRATION PROCESS [This is required before testing]
Registration is a one-time process that is required prior to receiving your first test. Registration will put you in the system for testing and set up your access to the results portal.
- Go to www.cattco.org/concentric-reg
- Enter their email, first and last name
- Enter the access code appropriate for the building they will be tested in:

- Click “Create My Account” and follow any on screen instructions

2/4/22: NYS DOH Revised Guidance for Quarantine & Isolation
This revised NYSDOH document incorporates additional information for people with ongoing exposure to individuals with COVID-19, travel, and updates on extracurricular and participation in before/after-school care and/or child care program licensed or permitted to serve school age children for those students attending school while on quarantine.

At-Home Rapid Testing
Schools are distributing free, take-home COVID-19 rapid test kits to any students or staff who exhibit COVID-like symptoms or have been in a classroom where a positive case has been identified. Anyone who tests positive on a take-home test should immediately report it to the school and begin isolating. Link to reporting form: https://tinyurl.com/CLVcovid
All students, staff and visitors must pass the DOE health screener in order to enter school buildings. No other proof of a negative result is required in order for these students to enter the school building.

UNIVERSAL MASKING BACKGROUND INFO: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has identified a concerning national trend of increasing circulation of the Delta COVID-19 variant, which is approximately twice as transmissible as the SARS-CoV-2 strain. [NYS DOH Memo 12/1/21]NYS DOH ACTION: Universal masking of teachers, staff, students, and visitors to P-12 schools over age two and able to medically tolerate a face covering/mask and regardless of vaccination status, is required until this determination is modified or rescinded.RECOMMENDATIONS: Wearing a tight fitting mask. Get Vaccinated
CLV, in partnership with the Cattaraugus County Health Department, frequently hosts vaccination clinics onsite in the Elementary Gym.
