    Student COVID - 19 Daily Screening Form to be completed by Parent/Guardian Before Sending your Child(ren)to School

    As part of our reopening plan we are asking parents to complete an on-line COVID – 19 electronic screening form before sending your child(ren) to school.  The on-line form (located to the left of this page under Return to School) is secure and confidential. Daily temperature screening and assessment of the four COVID-19 close contact/potential exposure questions will be conducted at each school building as students exit the school bus and/or enter the school building (parent drop off and walkers). 

    COVID HOTLINE

    A COVID - 19 hotline is now available to parents/guardians at 257-5625.  Please call this number if you have questions specific to COVID- 19 and the district will be in communication with you. Thank you. 

    MEAL PROGRAM REGISTRATION UPDATES!

    Please compete the registration form as soon as possible in order for the district to provide Free breakfast and lunch to our child(ren).

    USDA is offering free breakfast and lunch to all students. Two registration forms have been posted on the district website and Facebook page, one for students who will be participating in 100% virtual instruction and the other for students who will be participating in the hybrid model when we transition from our virtual model of instruction to hybrid instruction on September 21st.

     It is important for families to complete the registration form in order for the District to plan for the distribution of meals starting on September 21st for students attending in person and virtually.

    Please complete the survey if your child is participating in the 100% virtual model (at home instruction) and you are interested in your child(ren) receiving a free breakfast and lunch. Meals will be available for pick up on Tuesday and Friday at both the Carter St. District Office door or at the former school in Little Valley on Thompson Avenue. Both breakfast and lunch meals can be picked up as follows: Tuesday (breakfast and lunch meals for Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Friday (breakfast and lunch meals for Monday & Tuesday) from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

    Hybrid Instruction--CLICK HERE

    Please complete this registration form if your child is participating in the hybrid model of instruction (in-person and virtually) and you are interested in your child(ren) receiving a free breakfast and lunch. Students will receive a breakfast and lunch when they are attending school in person. Students will be given meals(s) at the end of the school day as follows: Students attending in person on Monday & Wednesday will take home a breakfast and lunch on Monday for Tuesday and again on Wednesday for Thursday and Friday Students attending in person on Tuesday and Thursday will take home a breakfast and lunch on Tuesday for Wednesday and again on Thursday for Friday and Monday.

    WIFI

    The CLV district is equipping three vans with wifi to increase internet connectivity in our school community. A van with wifi will be located in front of the Otto Town Hall from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. this Thursday, September 3rd for students needing to access the internet.  We will have two additional vans equipped in the near future.

    UPDATES

    Dear School Community!

    We are excited to be shifting to our hybrid model of instruction on September 21, 2020!  The following is a summary of important updates and procedures for our reopening.

    Students Riding the Bus

    Students must wear a mask at all times when on the bus.  A mask will be provided if needed. Students will be socially distanced with assigned seats.  Siblings may be required to sit together. 

    Student Walkers

    Elementary walkers are to enter District Office door (32) off of the Franklin Street entrance.

    MS/HS walkers are to enter door (13) off of Carter Street entrance next to the MS/HS art room.

    High School Student Drivers

    Students will park in the Franklin Street parking lot and enter door (36) next to the MS/HS café. Students must obtain a parking pass from the HS main office.

    Parent Drop Off & Pick Up

    Elementary (Carter Street Parking Lot)

    Please adhere to the following procedures in order to accommodate an increase in the number of parents dropping off and picking up their children.

    Drivers are to remain in their vehicles at all times. To unload, drivers will pull up to the first available designated drop off spot (# 1 – 4) (marked with signs)

    Student(s) are to unload from the passenger side ONLY for their safety.

    Elementary students will be escorted into the building by a CLV staff member.  Due to COVID – 19 restrictions, parents will not be allowed into the building.

    Student drop off is at the Carter Street Parking Lot with staggered times for elementary students as follows:

    • Elementary Students – District Office Door as follows:
      • 7:45 a.m. Group: Families with last names A – M
      • 8:00 a.m. Group: Families with last names N – Z

    MS/HS

    MS/HS students drop off and pick up is at the Carter Street parking lot across from door (13) next to the art room.

    Screening

    As part of our reopening plan we are asking parents to complete an on-line COVID – 19 electronic screening form before sending your child(ren) to school.  The on-line form is secure and confidential. Daily temperature screening and assessment of the four COVID-19 close contact/potential exposure questions will be conducted at each school building as students exit the school bus and/or enter the school building (parent drop off and walkers).

    A parent will be immediately notified if a child is ill or has COVID – 19 symptoms. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to arrange to pick up their child(ren) if ill.  In accordance with the CDC, students must stay home until at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever (temperature of 100.0 Fahrenheit or greater) or signs of a fever (chills, feeling very warm, flushed appearance, or sweating) without the use of fever-reducing medicine (e.g., Tylenol) and/or if they have been diagnosed with another condition and have a healthcare provider written note stating that they are clear to return to school.  

    Breakfast and Lunch

    Breakfast and lunch are free to all students through December 31st.  We will have limited offerings on the menu during the first few weeks of school with an expanded menu by October. The menu has been posted on the webpage. 

    • Students can pick up a free breakfast in the atrium of the elementary and MS/HS
    • Student lunches will be delivered to their classroom
    • M/W students will pick up a bagged breakfast & lunch on Monday for Tuesday and again on Wednesday for Thursday & Friday at the end of the school day
    • T/Th students will pick up a bagged breakfast & lunch for Wednesday and again on Thursday for Friday and Monday at the end of the school day

    Cleaning Protocols

    Cleaning protocols for the busses and buildings are in place in accordance with the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

    CHILD CARE FOR ESSENTIAL WORKERS

    Essential healthcare and first responders who are critical to the community response to the COVID-19 pandemic can contact Paula Jones at (716) 257-5293 if child care services are needed. 

    If you are looking for child care, the CCRR (Child Care Resource & Referral) in your county is a great place to start. They will ask you about the kind of care you are looking for, the ages of your children, the hours of care you need and other specifics such as any special needs your child might have. Based on that information, they will be able to give you a list of providers that most closely meet your needs.
