To the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Community,
I am honored to be joining you and wanted to introduce myself. I started as Superintendent on September 1st, and I am thrilled to be working with you.
My career in education has been dedicated to rural education for the last 25 years. I began as a science teacher at both the middle and high school levels and then became an administrator. My first administrative role was as a High School Assistant Principal before becoming a School Business Administrator. I served as the Business Official for ten years before becoming a Superintendent. This will be my eighth year as a Superintendent—all of which was within the Cattaraugus-Allegany region.
I am married with two adult sons and three grandchildren. My wife, Kelly, is starting as the Elementary school nurse here at CLV.
I understand the unique strengths a rural community can offer, as well as the tight-knit relationships that form within a positive and vibrant school that serves as a hub for the community. I am committed to building on the already strong foundation here at Cattaraugus-Little Valley. Together, we can ensure our students continue to receive the highest quality education.
I am passionate about career and technical education, a field I have actively supported through my work with Cattaraugus Allegany BOCES. Applied learning engages students while providing them with the skills they need for future success.
I look forward to meeting you, listening to your ideas and concerns, and working together to achieve our shared goals. Your input and involvement are crucial as we continue to make Cattaraugus-Little Valley a place where every student can succeed.
Thank you for welcoming me into your community. I am excited about what lies ahead and am committed to serving with dedication and integrity.
Sincerely,
David Foster
