The Cattaraugus-Little Valley Chorus celebrated the successful conclusion of another Solo Festival season this weekend, with 23 students in grades 6 through 11 participating in the NYSSMA Zone 1 Solo Festival at Salamanca Middle/High School.

Each student performed a prepared solo and completed a sight-reading exercise in front of a NYSSMA-certified adjudicator. Their performances were evaluated and scored, with results helping determine eligibility for the prestigious NYSSMA Area All-State Choruses this fall.

Choral Director Mr. Moore praised the students for their hard work and dedication. “The adjudicators repeatedly commented on how well-prepared and professional our students were during their auditions,” Moore said. “They were polite, respectful, and represented our school with great pride.”

Mr. Moore extended his gratitude to the families who supported the performers throughout the season. “A heartfelt and sincere thank you to all of my students and their parents,” he said. “Their commitment and support make achievements like this possible.”

The district congratulates all participants for their excellent performances and looks forward to seeing many of them advance to the next level of competition.
