This weekend, Devin proudly represented Cattaraugus-Little Valley in the NYSSMA Zone 15 Junior Area All-State Band, held at Genesee Valley Central School.
The CLV Music Department was thrilled to send one band student—Devin on clarinet—to this prestigious festival. Devin earned his spot by performing a Level 4 NYSSMA solo and achieving a high enough score to qualify for Area All-State.
Just as the chorus festival was extremely competitive, the band festival was equally challenging. Out of 33 clarinet nominations, only 19 students were accepted, representing some of the largest districts in the region—including Elmira, Olean, Horseheads, and more.
