Congratulations to the CLV team of Alex Pietras, Devan Otto, Grady Merrill, and Bransen Gabel for winning the annual CA BOCES Scholastic Challenge Tournament!
The Scholastic Challenge is a competition for 9th through 12th-grade students in a quiz bowl setting, where they compete against other schools from Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties. Questions are drawn from a wide range of academic topics, as well as current events, sports, and pop culture.
CLV competed with 27 teams at JCC in Olean, winning all three of their preliminary games comfortably to make it to the championship round. The team then won a very competitive final match (which came down to the last few questions) to win the championship. Way to go!!!!!!!
